| WomonsWork Art Group (WWAG) Achievement Award
The WomonsWork Art Achievement Award is given to a Connecticut woman artist who has made significant advancement in improving competency in an already established medium or in a new medium which has been adopted during the year in which the award is given.
WWAG artist group provides community, networking and encouragement to women artists in Connecticut. The group’s annual award is offered to an artist whose work represents technical skill, aesthetic appeal, interesting design and a personal message.
The award encourages women artists to continue to develop their skills and to experiment with new methods of expressing their artistic spirit.
Winners of the award will be invited to attend the last meeting of the Women’s Art Group for the year where The WomonsWork Art Group Achievement Award will be presented.
As this year’s prize: This year we renamed the award to suit the winner. Since Sherri Hennessy has taken classes in sewing and has used her skills in so many amazing ways, we called this year's award the Pioneer Award. As her prize, the WWAG Awards committee will pay for another sewing class for Sherri so that she can continue to develop her skills and create more amazing art!
